4 day Culture & History Tour of Northern Ghana
	Tour the highlights of northern Ghana, traveling from Tamale, Ghana's 3rd largest city, to the sacred crocodile ponds on the border with Burkina Faso. Explore the unique architectural styles, remote villages, sacred spaces, and history of the slave trade in this rarely visited part of Ghana.

	Arrival	Transit to Accra airport for flight to Tamale (or begin with a pick-up in Tamale).
	Day 1	Tour a Shea Butter processing center and a leather tannery to see local skills.
	Tamale	Visit cloth weavers, the Tamale crafts market, and an artist-run gallery.
		Overnight at a deluxe hotel in Tamale.
		Zayaa Mosque, Rice Processing, Tongo Shrines
		Mid-morning depart north to the unique Zayaa mud castle mosque at Wulugu.
	Day 2	Meet the women workers at a locally grown rice processing center.
	Bolgatanga	Visit sacred Tenzug, the Ba'ar Tonna'ab Ya'nee compound and shrines.
	2½ hours	Overnight at a deluxe hotel in Bolgatanga.
		Crocodiles, Pia Palace, Slave Camp, Basilica, Arts Village
		Depart for Paga to visit the sacred crocodile ponds and the Paga Pia's palace.
	Day 3	Tour the former slave camp at Pikworo and the mud brick cathedral at Navrongo.
	Bolgatanga	Explore painted adobe structures at Sirigu women's art and pottery village.
		Overnight at a deluxe hotel in Bolgatanga.
		Bolga Baskets, Former Slave Camp, Culture Performance
	Departure	Shop for hand-woven baskets before traveling to the slave camp at Saakpuli.
	Day 4	Sacred Baobab Tree where slaves were chained, and a mini museum of artifacts.
		Northern Ghana drumming and dance by the Youth Home Cultural Group.
		Return flight to Accra and transit to your drop-off (or drop in Tamale)..
