	A two day getaway to the Volta River to enjoy river life and tranquility, and ride the smooth waters under the Adomi Bridge. Also visit a handmade glass bead workshop, Shai Hills Resource Reserve, Aburi Botanical Gardens, a carving craft market and a banana plantation.

	Pick-up	Morning pick-up in an air-conditioned vehicle: Accra location of your choice
	Day 1	Depart on a scenic drive through the Akwapim Range towards the Volta River.
	Atimpoku	Tour the Aburi Botanical Gardens. Ghana's most beautiful garden that offers a
		rich collection of tropical flora which attracts many birds and butterflies.
	Estimated	Continue to a traditional bead making workshop to witness how crushed glass is
	Drive time	used to create these beautiful beads by hand. Shop for your own African beads.
	2 hours	Relaxed afternoon at your resort on the banks of the Volta River.
		Socialize in the busy river village or simply enjoy the serene environment.
		Overnight at a luxury or budget resort on the Volta River.
		Ride the Volta River, Banana Plantation, Adomi Bridge, Craft Market
	Drop-Off	Watch the fishermen of the river in their canoes and enjoy morning bird sightings.
	Day 2	Motorboat to the Akosombo Dam, holding Volta Lake, the largest man-made
	Accra	lake in the world by surface area, and source of much of Ghana's electricty.
		Stop at a banana plantation to see how bananas are cultivated for export.
	Estimated	Walk across the Adomi Bridge, the only steel arch bridge in Ghana.
	Drive time	Quickly visit the roadside for some shopping before departing for Accra.
	2 hours	Drive through a number of villages before reaching the Aburi crafts market to
		shop for crafts or other carvings. Enjoy the scenic descent into Accra.
