Frequently Asked Questions

Are there opportunities to shop for local crafts and souvenirs?

Yes. We often include local markets and craft villages where you can find authentic beads, kente cloth, wood carvings, and brass items on our tours.

Is bargaining expected in local markets?

Yes, bargaining is a standard cultural practice in markets. Approach it as a friendly interaction with a smile.

Can I take photos and videos during the tour?

Generally yes, but always ask permission before photographing individuals. Photography of military and government buildings is strictly prohibited.

Are your guides local experts?

Our guides are experienced local professionals with years of experience who are passionate about Ghana's history, culture, and wildlife.

How physically demanding are your tours?

Our tours mostly range from relaxed to moderately active. We can adjust the pace to match your physical comfort and energy level.

How much time will we spend driving on this itinerary?

Driving times vary widely depending on highway conditions, local urban traffic, and weather. However, we provide an estimated travel times on the itinerary.

What are the standard pick-up and drop-off times?

Standard pick-ups are typically between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. We aim to return you to your hotel by 5:00 PM, though this varies by tour.

What vehicle types do you use for tours?

We use air-conditioned 4x4 SUVs and mini-buses suited for Ghana's road conditions, regularly serviced and driven by professionals.

What happens if the weather affects the tour?

Ghana's weather often clears up quickly. If it is raining at your scheduled pickup time but conditions are safe, the tour will proceed. We may adjust the order of stops or delay the start slightly while the weather clears to ensure you get the full experience. Please be ready for pickup unless our team contacts you directly. If weather conditions are severe or unsafe to run the tour at all, we will cancel the trip and work closely with you to reschedule your tour for another agreeable date.

Do you provide custom or bespoke tours?

We are a tailor-made company. We work closely with you to design a unique itinerary that perfectly matches your specific interests and travel style.

Can I modify my itinerary after booking?

We strive to be flexible. Minor changes can often be accommodated with notice, though significant shifts may involve price adjustments.

How large are your tour groups?

Tours with specific dates, such as festival tours, generally have fewer than 8 people, with only 1 to 3 bookings. Our small groups maintain a personal feel and allow meaningful interaction with your guide and the local community. Otherwise, the group size is your decision. We mainly provide private tours for travelers, agents, and organizations and can accommodate up to 160 guests.

What meal options are available?

Enjoy local staples such as:

  • Jollof rice
  • Red Red (bean stew)
  • Waakye
Or international dishes like pasta, grilled fish, and chicken.

What is the bathroom situation on long road trips?

We prioritize stops at clean, modern facilities (such as hotels or well-maintained fuel stations) during long drives between regions.

How does Easy Track Ghana support the local community?

We hire local guides and drivers, partner with locally-owned businesses, and support community initiatives in the regions we visit.
