Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time of the year to visit Ghana?

The best time of the year to visit Ghana is during the main dry season, from November to March.

Is it safe to swim in the ocean?

Ghana is one of Africa's most stable nations. While standard urban precautions apply to valuables, violent crime against tourists is extremely rare.

What happens if the weather affects the tour?

Ghana's weather often clears up quickly. If it is raining at your scheduled pickup time but conditions are safe, the tour will proceed. We may adjust the order of stops or delay the start slightly while the weather clears to ensure you get the full experience. Please be ready for pickup unless our team contacts you directly. If weather conditions are severe or unsafe to run the tour at all, we will cancel the trip and work closely with you to reschedule your tour for another agreeable date.

How physically demanding are your tours?

Our tours mostly range from relaxed to moderately active. We can adjust the pace to match your physical comfort and energy level.

How much time will we spend driving on this itinerary?

Driving times vary widely depending on highway conditions, local urban traffic, and weather. However, we provide an estimated travel times on the itinerary.

What are the standard pick-up and drop-off times?

Standard pick-ups are typically between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. We aim to return you to your hotel by 5:00 PM, though this varies by tour.

Are your tours accessible for travelers with limited mobility?

While many sites have stairs or uneven terrain, we can customize itineraries to include more accessible vehicles and locations.

Are there opportunities to shop for local crafts and souvenirs?

Yes. We often include local markets and craft villages where you can find authentic beads, kente cloth, wood carvings, and brass items on our tours.

Can I take photos and videos during the tour?

Generally yes, but always ask permission before photographing individuals. Photography of military and government buildings is strictly prohibited.

Are your guides local experts?

Our guides are experienced local professionals with years of experience who are passionate about Ghana's history, culture, and wildlife.

What should I pack for a tour in Ghana?

We recommend packing:

  • Lightweight cotton clothing
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent
  • Personal medications

Is the tap water safe to drink in Ghana?

No. Tap water is not safe for drinking. We provide a constant supply of bottled or treated sachet water throughout your tour.

How large are your tour groups?

Tours with specific dates, such as festival tours, generally have fewer than 8 people, with only 1 to 3 bookings. Our small groups maintain a personal feel and allow meaningful interaction with your guide and the local community. Otherwise, the group size is your decision. We mainly provide private tours for travelers, agents, and organizations and can accommodate up to 160 guests.

Do you provide tours for single travelers?

Yes. While the single traveler supplement is higher due to private transport and accommodation, we ensure a safe and enriching experience for solo guests.

How does Easy Track Ghana support the local community?

We hire local guides and drivers, partner with locally-owned businesses, and support community initiatives in the regions we visit.
